The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received the diplomatic credentials from the new Ambassador of the United States of America to Somalia, Mr. Richard H. Riley.

The new ambassador, who shared a message and greeting from the President of the United States of America Mr. Joe Biden, thanked the Somali government for the warm welcome he received, presenting his plan to strengthen diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two governments.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud congratulated Ambassador Richard H. Riley on his new responsibility, sharing that the Federal Government of Somalia is supporting him in fulfilling his diplomatic duties.

On the other hand, President Hassan Sheikh held a meeting with the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), General Michael E. Langley, and discussed the strengthening of security cooperation, joint efforts to prevent terrorism and regional stability.
