LONDON —

Three opinion polls conducted in England showed on Wednesday yesterday that the ruling Conservative Party of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will face a serious defeat in the general election on July 4 in Britain.

The three opinion polls that were officially announced on Wednesday predict that the opposition Labor Party will easily win the election, which will make the Labor Party return to power in Britain after 14 years.

The YouGov poll showed that the Labor Party will win 425 of the 650 seats in the British Parliament, which will be the largest number in history if it happens.

The Savanta poll also estimated that the Labor Party would win 516 seats in parliament, while the More poll showed the opposition would win 406 seats.
